Every new Diablo 4 season starts the same way: you swear you'll "take it slow," then an hour later you're racing the clock. If your goal is level 60 in roughly three hours, treat the early game like a sprint, not a sightseeing tour. Pick a leveling setup that works with bare-bones skill points—good AoE, simple buttons, decent movement—and don't be shy about staying on Normal. You're not proving anything at level 8. If you want to smooth out the bumps even more, some players also buy diablo 4 items to cut down on awkward gearing pauses while they're still gearing up.

Character setup that actually saves time

Before you even move, double-check your campaign settings: have the original campaign marked complete, but don't skip the Vessel of Hatred story at the start. That campaign is stacked with big, clean quest XP and it's faster than wandering around hoping events line up. As soon as you load in, equip your pet so it vacuums gold and mats without you zig-zagging. Then do the early seasonal steps only until the Reputation Board is unlocked—after that, stop dabbling and commit to the Act VII campaign path.

Quest XP beats random fighting

You'll notice it fast: most "good-looking" packs on the road are bait. Unless the game locks a door and demands kills, keep moving. Main quests are your paycheck; everything else is pocket change. When mercenaries open up, grab Subo as your go-to. The highlights on enemies and objectives are basically a built-in GPS, which means less fumbling around corners or clearing dead-end rooms. It's not glamorous, but it's consistent, and consistency is what gets you to 60.

Small power bumps that add up

At about level 10, swing by the Blacksmith and do cheap Tempering. Put movement speed on boots and your amulet, then juice your weapon with whatever straight damage option your class likes. Those two changes alone make the campaign feel like it's on fast-forward. Keep an elixir running at all times for the 5% XP. Don't "save" them—saving is how you end up level 37 with a full stash of unused buffs. Once you're around 45, add an incense too so you're stacking toward a 10% XP boost while you finish the final campaign stretch.

The late-campaign skip and the final push

Near the end of the expansion story, you'll hit the step that tells you to meet Prava in Lorath's old hut. That's your cue to stop, log out to character select, and skip the remaining campaign. Playing it out is slower and doesn't pay back the time. After skipping, you should land near level 50, then you just pick your favorite density: Helltides if you want nonstop combat, Strongholds if you like clear goals, or Kurast Undercity if you've got a rhythm for it. Knock out Seasonal Journey tasks as you go, swap into your endgame build when you hit 60, and if you're the type who prefers a quick boost to keep momentum, eznpc is known for helping players pick up game currency or items without turning the whole night into a farming session.
